Wildlife Encounters

Nature and wildlife experiences excite me and there are so many encounters we can have. Below are some of my most favourite interactions I would like to share with you – but these are not the only ones! I have spent time finding rare birds, snakes, dolphins, dugongs, turtles, sharks, fish, rays, sea dragons, giant salamanders and more. If you have a bucketlist encounter you would like to tick off, contact me and I will research how you can do it.

Whalesharks

Imagine swimming alongside the biggest fish in the ocean! The humble filter feeding shark comes to Ningaloo Reef annually – one of the most reliable places in Australia to see such a majestic creature. Classified as vulnerable to extinction, don’t miss your chance to meet this amazing animal while snorkelling. If you would like to experience one of the most exciting experiences the oceans has to offer, I can help you plan your trip.

Humpback whales

Not many places in the world support or allow safe swimming with humpback whales. There are only a couple that do. For a full appreciation of the enormous size of these giant mammals, the best place to be is in-water! As long as you give them the respect and space they deserve, the mother will allow you to watch her and her calf in their natural environment. I can help organise your trip to tick this off your bucket list!

Minke whales

Imagine an encounter where the animal chooses when they want to be near you. Dwarf Minke whales do this. There are a handful of companies that have special permits that let you hang in-water from a line to observe these beautiful creatures. When the whales decide when they want to interact with you, they swim up to the line! Being eye to eye with a Minke whale is a life-changing encounter. I can arrange for you to experience this first-hand.
